Nathan E. Isaacson, OD is originally from Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania. Following undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Isaacson completed his degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 2002. He spent 18 years in private practice in an Ophthalmology group as the director of Low Vision Services and was the creator of their Telehealth Department. He also provided primary Ophthalmology coverage at a local Level 1 trauma center. He is board certificated/licensed by the American board of Optometry and the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. Dr. Isaacson currently holds a position as Clinical Assistant Professor at the UPMC Eye Center, where he provides primary care and contact lens services, works in association with the Low Vision Department, and is involved in the resident training program.

Dr. Isaacson is a diplomat for the American Board of Optometry.
